Boxing: Subjective Scoring and Controversy

Those who follow the sport of boxing will be familiar with the occurrence of the controversial decision, where the judges have perceived the outcome of a fight differently than the public. This is something fans of every other mainstream sport will be unfamiliar with, primarily due to the fact that in boxing, unlike any other sport, winners are not usually determined by quantifiable criteria such as the number of goals scored, or how quick the participant reached a finish line.
